We can’t wait to welcome our members, old friends and new friends back to The Hangar, as soon as it’s safe to do so.

We’ve seen some pretty creative home office setups from our members and team and have thoroughly enjoyed our virtual yoga classes, quiz nights, endless baking and Netflix watching. However, after quite some time spent working at home, we’ve realized that home is most definitely for living, not working. We’re now itching to upgrade our Work From Home setups to Work From the Hangar.

More than ever, we feel that there is a place for co-working in the “new world” where space, hygiene, convenience and balance are key. We’ve all experienced first-hand the benefits of remote working along with the struggles of the home office.

Lessons learnt:

-       Remote working is possible, with the right tools and technology in place

-       Avoiding commute times saves us hours in a day and makes us more productive

-       Home offices have their perks but it’s easy to blur the lines when you work and live under the same roof

-       Video conferencing is great, but there’s still a big place in our hearts for face-to-face human interaction

Big opportunities:

-       The introduction of company policies that allow flexible working arrangements. Businesses should ask their staff what they’ve loved or loathed about working from home and what flexible working might look like to them in the long term.

-       Co-working spaces as satellite offices. Safe distancing in offices will be a priority for many businesses. For those looking to spread out and enable teams to work closer to their home base, look no further. The Hangar offers studios for teams and flexi / fixed desks for those looking for less commitment.

 -       Less travel time. Flexible work hours and more virtual meetings can save money on fuel, reduce our carbon footprints and save time otherwise spent in traffic.

-       Office as a service. The idea of a full-service office space, business networking opportunities and flexible contracts will appeal to many businesses looking to downsize and reduce overheads.

We’re really excited to re-open The Hangar when the time is right. In the meantime, our team are on hand to chat about desks, meeting rooms and studios that we have available.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
