Where is The Hangar?

The Hangar is located on the upper level of the Sunderland Hangar in Catalina Bay (above Little Creatures brewery). The entrance is on the western side of the Sunderland Hangar building at the bottom end of Hudson Bay Road Extension.  The area can be easily accessed by ferry from downtown Auckland, by car via the North Western and upper harbour motorways, or by foot and/or bike locally via the Hobsonville Point Coastal Walkway. 



What is coworking? 

Coworking provides a space for individuals or companies to work in the same place and share building amenities. Membership at The Hangar provides a sense of community, is flexible and provides opportunities to network, collaborate and grow. Local coworking spaces allow your staff to work closer to home, be more efficient and increase employee satisfaction.


Parking and how to find us?

Parking is available on Launch Road, the car parks on the corner of Bomb Point Drive, Commanders Ave and Waka Moana Drive. Then a short walk down the stairs towards the ferry and The Hangar’s entrance is to your right, the entrance on the side of the Little Creatures building.




What businesses suit coworking?

Coworking suits many industries and business sizes. The Hangar has spaces to service freelancers, small businesses, satellite offices, remote workers, locals and more.

What memberships are available and are these flexible?

Membership options vary and can range from a single day to a lease of a number of years. Depending on what you require, The Hangar has membership options to suit all business types.


What spaces are available?

The Hangar has flexi and fixed desks, studios, meeting rooms and function spaces available. 

Flexi-desks

Located on the impressive mezzanine floor of The Hangar, flexi-desks are perfect for freelancers, those needing a satellite office from the CBD or those requiring a last-minute space. 

Members can sit at any vacant flexi-desk and belongings are packed-up at the end of each workday. Memberships provide secure access Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Fixed desks

Fixed desks are located in the main hub of The Hangar. A fixed desk is for exclusive use, providing opportunities for members to personalise their space. Members have secure access 7 days a week 24 hours a day and access to all building amenities. For those that want to keep their belongings onsite there are storage lockers available to hire at a small monthly charge.

Studios

Studios are dedicated spaces best suited for small businesses or satellite offices. Studio spaces are approximately 50sqm and can fit up to 10 desks comfortably.  There is a minimum term of 12 months on a private studio. 

Meeting rooms

A variety of private meeting rooms are available.  With rooms to suit 6 people through to 50 people we have a space to suit your requirements.  Screens for AV presentations available, guest wifi and tea and coffee included.  Meeting rooms can be booked for 30 minutes through to a whole week. 

Corporate function spaces 

We have a dedicated function space that flows to the outdoor balcony soaking up the western sun, making it suitable for medium sized workshops, product launches and other work event purposes.  Please contact us for a custom quote for your work event.

Maximum capacity:  35 pax boardroom, 50 pax theatre, 75 pax cocktail.


Is the Hangar pet friendly?

The Hangar shares the building with hospitality group Little Creatures. Due to food safety standards we cannot allow pets at The Hangar.

Access and security

All members will be supplied with a swipe card providing secure access to the building. Depending on your nominated membership type, access is available during normal business hours or 24/7.

I’m expecting a courier or external guests for a meeting, how do they access the building?

Guests and courier delivery service providers can ring the intercom onsite and will be looked after accordingly by The Hangar Host.  Mail deliveries can be sent to The Hangar PO Box.


Am I able to invite clients and guests on-site?

All members are welcome to invite clients and guests on-site. All members must sign in their own clients and guests. 

If you have a friend or colleague that would like to trial the space please speak to The Hangar Host, or contact us here and we can arrange a complimentary desk. 


Is there a fixed term contract?

Memberships are flexible and can be as short as a day and as long as a number of years. Terms are discussed and confirmed when booking.
